     Ruth Slingsby Peirse-Duncombe was the daughter of George Thomas Peirse-Duncombe.¹ She married Rear-Admiral Richard Nigel Gresley, son of Major Francis Gresley and Mary Thorp, on 5 May 1892.¹ She died on 8 June 1925.¹
     From 5 May 1892, her married name became Gresley.¹

     Major Roger Gresley was born on 26 February 1895.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Nigel Gresley and Ruth Slingsby Peirse-Duncombe.¹ He died on 6 September 1918 at age 23, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Dorothy Gresley is the daughter of Rear-Admiral Richard Nigel Gresley and Ruth Slingsby Peirse-Duncombe.¹ She married Captain Eric Ronald Wilson, son of Colonel Sir David Wilson, on 8 March 1922.¹
     From 8 March 1922, her married name became Wilson.¹

     Captain Eric Ronald Wilson is the son of Colonel Sir David Wilson.¹ He married Dorothy Gresley, daughter of Rear-Admiral Richard Nigel Gresley and Ruth Slingsby Peirse-Duncombe, on 8 March 1922.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Black Watch.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Colonel Sir David Wilson was awarded the Royal Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹

     Francis Edward Gresley was born on 31 July 1851.¹ He was the son of Major Francis Gresley and Mary Thorp.¹ He died on 22 May 1878 at age 26.¹
