     Hon. Carol Susan Gardiner was born on 5 December 1929.¹ She is the daughter of Gerald Austin Gardiner, Baron Gardiner and Lesly Doris Trounson.¹

     Alice Marie von Ziegesar was the daughter of Hermann Ludwig Wilhelm Karl Georg Baron von Ziegesar.¹ She married Sir Robert Septimus Gardiner, son of Reverend George Gregory Gardiner and Frances Mary Touchet, on 12 February 1896.¹ She died on 29 January 1953.¹
     From 12 February 1896, her married name became Gardiner.¹

     Catherine McClintock married Reverend George Gregory Gardiner, son of John Gardiner and Mary Spiers.¹ She died, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Gardiner.¹

     John Gardiner was born on 31 January 1757.¹ He was the son of William Gardiner and Annabella Lucas.¹ He married Mary Spiers.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He had two other sons (died without male issue) and a daughter.¹

     William Gardiner was born in 1726.¹ He was the son of John Webber and Jane Gardiner.¹ He married Annabella Lucas, daughter of Robert Lucas, on 8 March 1756.¹ He died on 11 January 1804.¹
     He was given the name of William Webber at birth.¹ In 1756 his name was legally changed to under the terms of his maternal grandfather, John Gardiner.¹ He had three younger sons and five daughters.¹

     John Webber was baptised on 11 September 1689.¹ He was the son of William Webber and Mary Havilland.¹ He married Jane Gardiner, daughter of John Gardiner, on 29 November 1716.¹

     William Webber was the son of William Webber.¹ He married Mary Havilland, daughter of Matthew Havilland, on 27 February 1687.¹ He died on 10 November 1725.¹
     He had two other sons.¹

     William Webber is the son of John Webber.¹
     In 1701 he inherited Bathealton Court, Somerset from his uncle William Webber.¹
