     Sir Gervase Elwes, 1st Bt. was born in 1628.¹ He was the son of Sir Gervase Elwes and Frances Lee.¹ He married Amy Trigge, daughter of William Trigge, on 2 March 1652.¹ He died on 11 April 1706.¹
     He lived at Stoke College, Stoke by Clare, Suffolk, England.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Elwes [England] on 22 June 1660. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk between 1665 and 1681.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury in 1677.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk in 1679.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury between 1679 and 1681.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk between 1689 and 1706.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Suffolk between 1690 and 1695.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury between 1700 and 1702.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sudbury from 1705 to 1706.¹

     Sir Richard Everard, 1st Bt. married, secondly, Frances Lee, daughter of Sir Robert Lee and Anne Lowe.¹ He married, firstly, Joan Barrington, daughter of Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Bt. and Joan Cromwell.¹ He died in June 1680.¹
     He lived at Langleys, Great Waltham, Essex, England.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Everard [England] in 1628/29.

     Amy Trigge is the daughter of William Trigge.¹ She married Sir Gervase Elwes, 1st Bt., son of Sir Gervase Elwes and Frances Lee, on 2 March 1652.¹
     From 2 March 1652, her married name became Elwes.¹
