     Sir John Gilbert Davis, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 August 1936 at London, England.¹ He was the son of Sir Gilbert Davis, 2nd Bt. and Kathleen Ford.¹ He married Elizabeth Margaret Turnbull, daughter of Robert Smith Turnbull, on 16 January 1960.^1,2 He died on 25 October 2019 at age 83 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England.² He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.² He was president of Inter City Papers Ltd. at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Davis, of Barrington Hall in the County of Cambridge [U.K., 1946] in 1973.

     Elizabeth Margaret Turnbull was born on 1 June 1931 at Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Smith Turnbull.¹ She married Sir John Gilbert Davis, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Gilbert Davis, 2nd Bt. and Kathleen Ford, on 16 January 1960.^1,2 She died on 7 June 2020 at age 89.¹
     From 16 January 1960, her married name became Davis.¹

     Robert Smith Turnbull lived at 11 Major’s Loan, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.²
