     Sir George Bowman, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 July 1923.1 He was the son of Sir James Bowman, 1st Bt. and Jean Brooks.1 He married Olive Case on 21 October 1960.1 He died in 1990.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bowman, of Killingworth, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1961] on 25 September 1978.2 On his death his baronetcy became extinct.2
