     Sir John Francis Ainsworth, 3rd Bt. was born on 4 January 1912.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Ainsworth, 2nd Bt. and Lady Edina Dorothy Hope Conyngham.¹ He married, firstly, Josephine Bernard, daughter of Commander Walter Randolph Bernard and Millicent Olive Graves, on 26 August 1938.¹ He and Josephine Bernard were divorced in 1946.¹ He married, secondly, Anita Margaret Ann Lett, daughter of Harold Arthur Lett, on 19 February 1946.¹ He died in 1981.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1937 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Historical Society (F.R.Hist.S.)¹ He was an external lecturer in Medieval History between 1966 and 1981 at University College of Cork, Cork, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Ainsworth, of Ardanaiseig, co. Argyll [U.K., 1917] on 1 March 1971.¹

     Josephine Bernard is the daughter of Commander Walter Randolph Bernard and Millicent Olive Graves.¹ She married Sir John Francis Ainsworth, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Ainsworth, 2nd Bt. and Lady Edina Dorothy Hope Conyngham, on 26 August 1938.¹ She and Sir John Francis Ainsworth, 3rd Bt. were divorced in 1946.¹
     Her married name became Ainsworth.

     Commander Walter Randolph Bernard was the son of Gerard Hawker Bernard.² He married Millicent Olive Graves, daughter of Augustus Edgar Graves and Josephine Robinson, on 21 October 1912.² He died on 18 July 1950.²
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Millicent Olive Graves was the daughter of Augustus Edgar Graves and Josephine Robinson.^1,2 She married Commander Walter Randolph Bernard, son of Gerard Hawker Bernard, on 21 October 1912.² She died on 5 August 1978.²
     Her married name became Bernard.

     Augustus Edgar Graves was born on 11 October 1856.² He was the son of Hon. Henry Richard Graves and Henrietta Wellesley.² He married Josephine Robinson, daughter of Joseph Robinson, on 18 September 1889.² He died in 1896.²

     Anita Margaret Ann Lett is the daughter of Harold Arthur Lett.¹ She married Sir John Francis Ainsworth, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Ainsworth, 2nd Bt. and Lady Edina Dorothy Hope Conyngham, on 19 February 1946.¹
     Her married name became Ainsworth.

     Harold Arthur Lett lived at Kilgibbon and Ballynadara, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland^G.¹

     Iris Helen Hersey Ainsworth is the daughter of Sir Thomas Ainsworth, 2nd Bt. and Lady Edina Dorothy Hope Conyngham.¹ She married Nicholas St. Vigor Fox, son of Major Sir John St. Vigor Fox and Sylvia Katherine Sutton, on 22 April 1939.¹
     Her married name became Fox.

     Nicholas St. Vigor Fox is the son of Major Sir John St. Vigor Fox and Sylvia Katherine Sutton.¹ He married Iris Helen Hersey Ainsworth, daughter of Sir Thomas Ainsworth, 2nd Bt. and Lady Edina Dorothy Hope Conyngham, on 22 April 1939.¹
     He lived at Lough Park House, Castlepollard, County Westmeath, Ireland^G.¹
