     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 22nd Light Dragoons.¹ He was Master of the Horse at Dublin Castle, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹

     Caroline Louisa Nelthropp was born in 1786.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Nelthropp.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Henry Broome.¹ She died in 1876.¹
     Her married name became Broome.¹
