     Captain Herbert Cecil Fitzroy Sitwell was born on 20 January 1896.¹ He was the son of Herbert Wellington Sitwell and Julietta Fisher Cary.¹ He married, firstly, Helen Barlow, daughter of Dr. William E. Barlow, in 1921.¹ He married, secondly, Phronsic Irene Marsh, daughter of Peter Addison Marsh, on 14 May 1961.¹ He died on 15 August 1965 at age 69.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army.¹

     Helen Barlow was the daughter of Dr. William E. Barlow.¹ She married Captain Herbert Cecil Fitzroy Sitwell, son of Herbert Wellington Sitwell and Julietta Fisher Cary, in 1921.¹ She died in 1955.¹
     Her married name became Sitwell.

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the U.S. Army.¹

     Elizabeth Freed is the daughter of Paul Freed.¹ She married Lt.-Col. George Fitzroy Sitwell, son of Captain Herbert Cecil Fitzroy Sitwell and Helen Barlow, in 1945.¹ She and Lt.-Col. George Fitzroy Sitwell were divorced in 1971.¹

     Elizabeth Sitwell was born in 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. George Fitzroy Sitwell and Elizabeth Freed.¹ She married Alfred Townsend Truitt in November 1969.¹
     From November 1969, her married name became Truitt.
