William Stirling, 1st of Glorat1 
On 10 October 1508 he was granted the lands of Glorat, by charter from Matthew, Earl of Lennox.3 He held the office of Keeper of Dumbarton Castle.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Dumbarton in 1531.3
