He was educated at Westminster School, London, England.1 He was Auditor-General of the household of George, Prince of Wales.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Masham [E., 1621] on 16 October 1758. He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Masham of Otes [G.B., 1712] on 16 October 1758. On his death, his titles became extinct.1
