     Sir Robert Maxwell, 4th Bt. was the son of Thomas Maxwell and Elizabeth Glendinning.1 He married, firstly, Agnes Maxwell, daughter of George Maxwell, 1st of Munches and Barbara Maxwell, circa 1680.1 He married, secondly, Ann Lindsay in 1697.1 He died in 1729.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Maxwell, of Orchardtoun [N.S., 1663] in 1719.1 He lived at Gelston, Kelton, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.1

     Sir George Maxwell of Orchardtoun, 5th Bt. was born in 1682 at Gelston, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Maxwell, 4th Bt. and Agnes Maxwell.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Blacklock circa 1715.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Maxwell, daughter of Francis Maxwell of Breoch, in 1725.1 He died on 28 December 1746.1,3
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Maxwell, of Orchardtoun [N.S., 1663] in 1729.1
