Colonel James Gabriel Montrésor1 

Colonel James Gabriel Montrésor was born on 19 November 1702 at Fort William, Inverness-shire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Major James Gabriel le Tresor and Nanon de Hauteville.1 He married, thirdly, Frances Nicholls, daughter of H. Nicholls.1 He married, firstly, Mary Haswell, daughter of Robert Haswell, on 11 June 1735 at Gibraltar.1 He married, secondly, Henrietta Fielding, daughter of Henry Fielding, on 25 August 1766.1 He died on 6 January 1776 at age 73 at New Gardens, Teynham, Kent, England.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 4 January 1758 in the Royal Engineers.1
