     He lived at Copt Hall, Essex, England.1 He was educated at St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maldon in 1660.2 He was a practising serjeant-at-law between 1674 and 1684.2
