     Mary Halton was born in 1766.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William Halton, 6th Bt. and Mary Garner.¹ She married John Haughton James, son of Colonel Montague James and Mary Haughton, on 3 February 1791 at St. George, Hanover Square, London, England.¹ She died on 8 July 1808.¹
     From 3 February 1791, her married name became James.¹

     Sir William Halton, 6th Bt. was born in 1746.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Halton, 5th Bt. He married Mary Garner.¹ He died in 1833.¹
     He gained the title of 6th Baronet Halton, of Samford [E., 1642]. On his death his baronetcy became extinct.

     Mary Garner married Sir William Halton, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Halton, 5th Bt..¹ She died in 1817.¹
     Her married name became Halton.¹

     Caroline Haughton James was born in 1797.¹ She was the daughter of John Haughton James and Mary Halton.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Philip Clarke, son of Sir Philip Haughton Clarke, 8th Bt., on 24 July 1821 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹ She married, secondly, Peregrine Taylor Bingley, son of Thomas Brooke Bingley and Anne Horsford, after 1830.¹ She died on 19 January 1863 at Boulevard des Italiens, Paris, France.¹
     From 24 July 1821, her married name became Clarke.¹ From after 1830, her married name became Bingley.¹

     Lt.-Col. Philip Clarke was born circa 1792.¹ He was the son of Sir Philip Haughton Clarke, 8th Bt.¹ He married Caroline Haughton James, daughter of John Haughton James and Mary Halton, on 24 July 1821 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.¹ He died on 30 September 1830 at Brighton, Sussex, England.¹

     Peregrine Taylor Bingley was born on 28 November 1825 at Meerut, Bihar, India.¹ He was the son of Thomas Brooke Bingley and Anne Horsford.² He married, firstly, Caroline Haughton James, daughter of John Haughton James and Mary Halton, after 1830.¹ He married, secondly, Alice Austen, daughter of John Wentworth Austen and Eliza Ann Philpott, in 1864.² He died in 1886 at Kensington, London, England.¹

     Colonel Richard James was born circa 1655 at Jamaica.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Partridge.¹ He married, secondly, Ann Haughton.¹ He died in 1759 at Davies Cove, Jamaica.¹

     Mary Partridge married Colonel Richard James.¹ She died in 1756.¹
     Her married name became James.¹

     Ann Haughton was born at St. Catherine, Jamaica.¹ She married Colonel Richard James.¹
     Her married name became James.¹

     Lucy Torrent was born in 1698.¹ She married Colonel Montague James, son of Colonel Richard James and Mary Partridge.¹ She died in 1751 at Lothbury, London, England.¹ She was buried on 29 December 1751 at St. Margaret, Lothbury, London, England.¹
     Her married name became James.¹
