Somerville Travers Alexander Livingstone-Learmonth was born on 28 November 1904 at Havant, Hampshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Somerville Reid Livingstone-Learmonth and Isabella Travers.1 He married Cecily Grace Drage, daughter of Lt.-Col. Godfrey Drage, on 9 September 1931.1 He died on 8 November 1984 at age 79 at Northampton, Northamptonshire, England.2
He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1927 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) and bar.1 He was director of J. W. Greaves and Sons Ltd.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Caernarvonshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1960.1
