     Eliza Jorden Shepherd was born in 1802 at Butcombe Court, Bristol, England.¹ She married Rear-Admiral Charles Calmady Dent, son of Commander Digby Dent and Frances Butler Saunders, on 10 September 1829 at Bradninch, Devon, England.¹ She died in September 1835 at Charlton-Abbots, Gloucestershire, England.¹
     From 10 September 1829, her married name became Dent.¹

     Corinna Kourkoumelles was born on 21 November 1840 at Corfu, Greece.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Demetrios Kourkoumelles.¹ She married Admiral Charles Bayley Calmady Dent, son of Rear-Admiral Charles Calmady Dent and Eliza Jorden Shepherd, on 6 August 1863 at Kensington Palace Church, London, England.¹
     From 6 August 1863, her married name became Dent.¹

     Sir Demetrios Kourkoumelles was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was Regent of the British Military Protectorate of Corfu between 1862 and 1864.¹

     Henry Nicholas Ridley was born on 10 December 1855.¹ He was the son of Reverend Oliver Matthew Ridley and Louisa Pole Stuart.¹ He married Lily Eliza Doran, daughter of Charles Doran, in 1941.¹ He died on 24 October 1956 at age 100, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1878 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was assistant in the Botanical Department between 1880 and 1889 at Natural History Museum, London, England.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1881 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was director of Gardens and Forests, Straits Settlements between 1889 and 1912.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Horticultural Society (F.R.H.S.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society (F.L.S.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1911.¹

     Reverend Charles William Ridley was born on 28 December 1856.¹ He was the son of Reverend Oliver Matthew Ridley and Louisa Pole Stuart.¹ He married Jessie Dowdall, daughter of Thomas Dowdall, in 1885.¹ He died on 23 May 1905 at age 48, without issue.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Vicar at Scarisbrick, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Jessie Dowdall is the daughter of Thomas Dowdall.¹ She married Reverend Charles William Ridley, son of Reverend Oliver Matthew Ridley and Louisa Pole Stuart, in 1885.¹
     From 1885, her married name became Ridley.¹
