     He lived at Camp de Cesar, Pouzac, France.¹ He retired from the military in 1839, with the rank of Captain, late of the 20th Foot.¹

     Catherine Cledou was the daughter of François Cledou.¹ She married David William Archibald Douglas, son of Lt.-Col. William Douglas and Catherine Johnstone, in 1829.¹ She died on 15 May 1832.¹
     From 1829, her married name became Douglas.¹

     François Cledou lived at Pouzac, France.¹

     Gavin James Saturn Douglas was born on 29 November 1830.¹ He was the son of David William Archibald Douglas and Catherine Cledou.¹ He married Margaret Ethelda Moore, daughter of Edward Moore, on 22 January 1851.¹ He died on 29 November 1917 at age 87.¹
     He was educated at Ecole d’Evangelique, France.¹ He graduated from Lille University, Lille, France, in 1847 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He emigrated to Victoria, Australia, arriving on 1848.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [Victoria] between 1876 and 1895.¹ He lived at Victoria, Australia.¹

     Margaret Ethelda Moore was the daughter of Edward Moore.¹ She married Gavin James Saturn Douglas, son of David William Archibald Douglas and Catherine Cledou, on 22 January 1851.¹ She died in 1895.¹
     From 22 January 1851, her married name became Douglas.¹

     Edward Moore lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹
