     Major James Douglas was born on 6 November 1817.¹ He was the son of General Sir James Dawes Douglas and Marianne Bullock.¹ He married Georgina Agnes Beresford, daughter of Colonel William Beresford.¹ He died on 23 April 1858 at age 40, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 60th Rifles.¹

     Georgina Agnes Beresford is the daughter of Colonel William Beresford.¹ She married, firstly, Major James Douglas, son of General Sir James Dawes Douglas and Marianne Bullock.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Thomas Rawson Birks on 17 May 1866.¹
     Her married name became Douglas.¹ From 17 May 1866, her married name became Birks.¹

     Colonel William Beresford lived at Stapleford Hall, Nottinghamshire, England.¹

     Reverend Thomas Rawson Birks was born on 28 September 1810 at Staveley, Derbyshire, England.² He married unknown daughter Bickersteth, daughter of Reverend Edward Bickersteth and Sarah Bignold, in 1844.² He married Georgina Agnes Beresford, daughter of Colonel William Beresford, on 17 May 1866.¹ He died on 19 July 1883 at age 72.²
     He wrote the book Horae Evangelicae, published 1852.² He wrote the book Modern Rationalism, published 1853.² He wrote the book The Bible and Modern Thought, published 1861.² He was Professor of Moral Philosophy in 1872 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.²

     Sholto James Douglas was born on 14 June 1820.¹ He was the son of General Sir James Dawes Douglas and Marianne Bullock.¹ He married Ann Harriet Mills, daughter of William Mills, on 17 May 1853.¹ He died on 10 June 1868 at age 47.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹

     Ann Harriet Mills was the daughter of William Mills.¹ She married Sholto James Douglas, son of General Sir James Dawes Douglas and Marianne Bullock, on 17 May 1853.¹ She died on 26 May 1877.¹
     From 17 May 1853, her married name became Douglas.¹

     William Mills lived at Saxham Hall, Suffolk, England.¹

     Sholto James Douglas was born on 20 March 1854.¹ He was the son of Sholto James Douglas and Ann Harriet Mills.¹ He married Lucy Anne Campbell, daughter of Colonel A. E. Campbell, on 4 March 1882.¹ He died on 18 December 1930 at age 76.¹
     He was with the Bengal Civil Service.¹

     Lucy Anne Campbell is the daughter of Colonel A. E. Campbell.¹ She married Sholto James Douglas, son of Sholto James Douglas and Ann Harriet Mills, on 4 March 1882.¹
     From 4 March 1882, her married name became Douglas.¹

     Colonel A. E. Campbell gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Staff Corps.¹
