Reverend Stair Douglas was born on 23 May 1867.1 He was the son of Reverend William Douglas and Emily Wilson.1 He married Agnes Mary Douglas, daughter of Charles Irvine Douglas and Margaret Elizabeth Holmested, on 11 July 1908.1 He died on 6 April 1940 at age 72, without issue.1
He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Moray, Ross and Caithness.1 He held the office of Canon of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Inverness.1 He was Priest-in-Charge between 1926 and 1940 at St. Ninian’s Church, Invergordon, Ross-shire, Scotland.1
