Edward Percy Douglas1 
He was given the name of Edward Percy Douglas-Irvine at birth.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Cpaptain in the Royal Field Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Pioneer Corps.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 In 1919 his name was legally changed to Edward Percy Douglas.1
