     Anna Smelt was born circa 1723.¹ She was the daughter of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Metcalfe, son of Thomas Metcalfe and Anne Greene, in 1742.¹ She died in 1804.¹
     From 1742, her married name became Metcalfe.¹

     Thomas Metcalfe was born in 1661.¹ He was the son of William Metcalfe and Anne Marwood.¹ He married Anne Greene, daughter of John Greene.¹ He died in 1717.¹
     He lived at The Porch House, Northallerton, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Anne Marwood was the daughter of Sir George Marwood, 1st Bt. and Frances Bethell.¹ She married William Metcalfe in 1657.¹ She died after 1679.¹
     From 1657, her married name became Metcalfe.¹

     Anne Greene is the daughter of John Greene.¹ She married Thomas Metcalfe, son of William Metcalfe and Anne Marwood.¹
     Her married name became Metcalfe.¹

     Leonard Smelt was born on 2 May 1725.¹ He was the son of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ He died on 9 September 1800 at age 75 at Langton, Sussex, England.¹

     Elizabeth Smelt was born on 30 May 1727.¹ She was the daughter of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ She died on 27 October 1807 at age 80.¹

     Grace Smelt was born on 26 January 1729.¹ She was the daughter of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ She died on 16 September 1799 at age 70.¹

     Dorothy Smelt was the daughter of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ She died after 1759.¹

     Cornelius Smelt was the son of William Smelt and Dorothy Cayley.¹ He died after 1759.¹
