Maurice Herbert Towneley Towneley-O’Hagan, 3rd Baron O’Hagan of Tullahogue1 
He was given the name of Maurice Herbert Towneley O’Hagan at birth.1 He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron O’Hagan of Tullahogue, co. Tyrone [U.K., 1870] on 13 December 1900.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Assistant Private Secretary to 1st Lord of Admiralty between 1906 and 1907.1 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting between 1907 and 1910.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1909 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 On 23 November 1909 his name was legally changed to Maurice Herbert Towneley Towneley-O’Hagan by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.1 He was Director and Controller of the British Red Cross Society, Suffolk.1
