     Major William Charles Drummond was born on 11 September 1837.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Charles Drummond and Charlotte Harris.1,2 He married, firstly, Rosalind Blanche Vansittart Humphrys, daughter of William Charles Humphrys, on 1 January 1870.1 He married, secondly, Jessie Maria Wigston, daughter of Admiral unknown Wigston, in 1885.1 He died on 14 January 1916 at age 78.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 95th Foot.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.1
