     Ernest Cavendish Howe Browne was born on 28 June 1860.¹ He was the son of Major George Richard Browne and Louisa Tyler.¹ He married Rachel Georgina Brett, daughter of Lt.-Col. unknown Brett, on 5 January 1885.¹ He died on 16 August 1909 at age 49, without issue.¹

     Rachel Georgina Brett was the daughter of Lt.-Col. unknown Brett.¹ She married Ernest Cavendish Howe Browne, son of Major George Richard Browne and Louisa Tyler, on 5 January 1885.¹ She died on 4 July 1948.¹
     Her married name became Browne.

     George Howe Browne was born on 5 June 1862.¹ He was the son of Major George Richard Browne and Louisa Tyler.¹ He died on 21 September 1890 at age 28, unmarried.¹

     Frederick Howe Browne was born in June 1863.¹ He was the son of Major George Richard Browne and Louisa Tyler.¹ He married Emily Arnot, daughter of David Arnot, in 1883.¹ He died on 5 July 1947 at age 84.¹
     He held the office of Magistrate [Cape Colony].¹

     Emily Arnot was the daughter of David Arnot.¹ She married Frederick Howe Browne, son of Major George Richard Browne and Louisa Tyler, in 1883.¹ She died in 1943.¹
     Her married name became Browne.

     David Arnot lived at Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Noel Francis Browne was born in 1884.¹ He was the son of Frederick Howe Browne and Emily Arnot.¹ He married Jessie Selwyn Tudhope in 1919.¹ He died on 3 April 1943.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He was Civilian Representative, Legislative Assembly [Tanganyika].¹

     Jessie Selwyn Tudhope married Noel Francis Browne, son of Frederick Howe Browne and Emily Arnot, in 1919.¹
     Her married name became Browne.

     Captain Peter Kilmaine Browne was born on 22 March 1920.^1,2 He is the son of Noel Francis Browne and Jessie Selwyn Tudhope.¹ He married Dorothy Dobson in 1948.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain and Technical Adjutant in the Royal Armoured Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹
