     Sir John Fox was born on 27 May 1882 at London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir John Charles Fox and Mary Louisa Valentine.¹ He married, firstly, Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp, daughter of Henry Walt Sharp, on 17 June 1908.¹ He married, secondly, Lilian Emma Lawler, daughter of John Lawler, on 6 November 1942 at St. Peter’s Church, Vere Street, London, England^G.¹ He married, thirdly, Pearl Gallantry in 1963.² He died on 18 December 1970 at age 88.²
     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ In 1940 he was sevriously injured in the same explosion which killed his first wife.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1943.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp was the daughter of Henry Walt Sharp.¹ She married Sir John Fox, son of Sir John Charles Fox and Mary Louisa Valentine, on 17 June 1908.¹ She died in 1940, as a reult of enemy action, when a bomb fell on her house.¹
     Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp usually went by her middle name of Olive.¹ Her married name became Fox.

     John Valentine Fox was born on 15 June 1910. He is the son of Sir John Fox and Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp.

     Sir John Charles Fox was born on 29 May 1855.² He was the son of John Fox.² He married Mary Louisa Valentine, daughter of John Sutherland Valentine, in 1880.² He died on 21 March 1943 at age 87.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.² He was appointed Knight in 1921.² He lived at Bridle Way, Goring, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.²

     Mary Louisa Valentine is the daughter of John Sutherland Valentine.¹ She married Sir John Charles Fox, son of John Fox, in 1880.¹
     From 1880, her married name became Fox.

     John Sutherland Valentine was registered as a Civil Engineer (C.E.)¹

     John Mauns Aitken was born on 24 May 1904.¹ He was the son of Joseph Magnus Aitken and Katherine Margaret McAffee.¹ He died on 3 January 1938 at age 33.¹
