     Edmund Butler, 9th Viscount Mountgarret was the son of Edmund Butler, 6th Viscount Mountgarret and Mary Buchanan.¹ He married Anne Purcell, daughter of Toby Purcell.¹ He died on 6 March 1750/51.¹
     He succeeded as the 9th Viscount Mountgarret, co. Wexford [I., 1550] on 13 May 1749.¹

     Hon. Sampson Eardley was born on 20 December 1770.¹ He was the son of Sampson Eardley, 1st and last Baron Eardley of Spalding and Maria Marowe Wilmot.¹ He died in June 1824 at age 53, unmarried.¹

     Edward Sampson-Eardley Cousins Eardley was born illegitimately on 20 January 1819.¹ He was the son of Hon. Sampson Eardley.¹ He was baptised on 19 January 1820 at St. James’s, Piccadilly, London, England.¹

     Hon. William Eardley was born in 1774.¹ He was the son of Sampson Eardley, 1st and last Baron Eardley of Spalding and Maria Marowe Wilmot.¹ He died in 1805.¹

     Hon. Alexa Sterling Hadley Butler was born on 16 February 1997.¹ She is the daughter of Piers James Richard Butler, 18th Viscount Mountgarret and Laura Brown Gary Williams.¹

     Hon. Morgan Dickins Somerset Butler was born on 14 May 1999.¹ She is the daughter of Piers James Richard Butler, 18th Viscount Mountgarret and Laura Brown Gary Williams.¹

     Adelle I. Lloyd is the daughter of M. Lloyd.¹ She married Hon. Edmund Henry Richard Butler, son of Richard Henry Piers Butler, 17th Viscount Mountgarret and Gillian Margaret Buckley, in 1988.¹ She and Hon. Edmund Henry Richard Butler were divorced.¹
     From 1988, her married name became Butler.¹
