     Elizabeth Mary Scott was born on 29 July 1798 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of James Scott and Sophia Button.¹ She was baptised on 2 September 1798 at St. Thomas, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.¹ She died on 20 October 1805 at age 7.¹

     Dr. Charles Henry Scott was born on 14 March 1814 at Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of James Scott and Sophia Button.¹ He was baptised on 10 April 1814 at St. Mary’s Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He married, firstly, Susan Elizabeth Moncrieffe, daughter of Reverend David Stewart Moncrieffe and Sarah Ann Simmons, on 19 September 1844 at St. Andrews, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Katherine Dick, daughter of David Dick and Elisabeth Catherine Mackenzie, on 5 June 1851 at Broadwater, Sussex, England.¹ He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Surtees, daughter of Reverend John Surtees and Mary Anne Hawkins, on 5 September 1871 at Frenchay, St. John the Baptist, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ He died on 14 April 1891 at age 77 at Clifton, Bristol, England.¹

     Susan Elizabeth Moncrieffe was born on 11 October 1807.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend David Stewart Moncrieffe and Sarah Ann Simmons.² She married Dr. Charles Henry Scott, son of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 19 September 1844 at St. Andrews, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ She died on 6 March 1846 at age 38, burnt to death in a house fire.¹
     From 19 September 1844, her married name became Scott.¹

     Elizabeth Katherine Dick was born on 28 July 1824 at Bath, Somerset, England.¹ She was the daughter of David Dick and Elisabeth Catherine Mackenzie.¹ She married, firstly, Major James Anderson on 10 October 1843 at St. James, Piccadilly, London, England.¹ She married, secondly, Dr. Charles Henry Scott, son of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 5 June 1851 at Broadwater, Sussex, England.¹ She died on 12 August 1868 at age 44 at Clifton, Bristol, England.¹
     From 10 October 1843, her married name became Anderson.¹ From 5 June 1851, her married name became Scott.¹

     Elizabeth Surtees was born circa 1823 at Banham, Norfolk, England.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend John Surtees and Mary Anne Hawkins.¹ She married Dr. Charles Henry Scott, son of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 5 September 1871 at Frenchay, St. John the Baptist, Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ She died on 21 April 1908 at Clifton, Bristol, England.¹
     From 5 September 1871, her married name became Scott.¹

     Elizabeth Mary Scott was baptised on 21 April 1816 at St. Mary’s Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of James Scott and Sophia Button.¹ She married Colonel Walter Craufurd Kennedy on 22 July 1836 at St. Mary’s, Buckland, Somerset, England.¹
     Her married name became Kennedy.¹

     Colonel Walter Craufurd Kennedy was born on 3 June 1811 at Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He married Elizabeth Mary Scott, daughter of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 22 July 1836 at St. Mary’s, Buckland, Somerset, England.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd West India Regiment.¹ He retired from the military on 10 December 1858, with the rank of Colonel, late of the 5th Foot Regiment.¹

     Thomas Samuel Scott was baptised on 14 September 1817 at St. Mary’s Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of James Scott and Sophia Button.¹ He died in 1880.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy, and was shipwrecked on Mauritius.¹
