Anne Lake.1 He was baptised on 31 December 1817 at Carrington, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He married Elizabeth Jane Bowen on 8 September 1846 at St. Peter’s Church, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Wales.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 73rd Regiment.1
