     Fulbert Archer was born in April 1825.2 He was the son of Edward Archer and Charlotte Catherine Harward.1,2 He married Mary Elizabeth Cave, daughter of William Cave and Mary Ann Brooke, on 24 September 1856 at Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, England.1 He died on 28 November 1904 at age 79 at Totnes, Devon, England.1
     He was a practising Barrister-at-law.3 He was a partner of Miles and Company, an English firm trading between Canterbury, New Zealand and England.1 He and Mary Elizabeth Cave emigrated to New Zealand arriving on 1867.1 He lived between 1867 and 1902 at Timaru, New ZealandG.3 He was chairman of the Timaru Harbour Board.1 He lived in 1902 at England.1
