     Mary Kathleen Fletcher was born on 30 June 1905.2 She was the daughter of William Fletcher.1 She married Lt. Lewis Henry Palmer, son of Sir Edward Geoffrey Broadley Palmer, 10th Bt. and Sibyll Caroline Smith-Neill, on 27 July 1940.1 She and Lt. Lewis Henry Palmer were divorced in 1950.1
     From 27 July 1940, her married name became Palmer.1
