     Sir William Young, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1750.¹ He was the son of Sir William Young, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Taylor.³ He married, firstly, Sarah Lawrence, daughter of Charles Lawrence, on 12 August 1777.¹ He married, secondly, Barbara Talbot, daughter of Colonel Richard Talbot and Margaret O’Reilly, Baroness Talbot of Malahide, on 21 April 1793.³ He died on 10 January 1815.¹
     He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Mawes between 1784 and 1806.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Young, of Dominica, West Indies [G.B., 1769] on 8 April 1788.¹ Between 1790 and 1807 he rented Hartwell House, Aylesbury from Sir George Lee, 6th Baronet.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He sold Delaford.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Buckingham from 1806 to 1807.¹ He held the office of Governor of Tobago between 1807 and 1815.¹

     Sarah Lawrence was the daughter of Charles Lawrence.¹ She married Sir William Young, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Young, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Taylor, on 12 August 1777.¹ She died on 6 January 1791.¹
     From 12 August 1777, her married name became Young.
