Sir Denys Burton Buckley was born on 6 February 1906.¹ He was the son of Henry Burton Buckley, 1st Baron Wrenbury and Bertha Margaretta Jones.² He married Gwendolen Jane Armstrong-Jones, daughter of Sir Robert Armstrong-Jones and Margaret Elizabeth Roberts, on 23 July 1932.¹ He died on 13 September 1998 at age 92.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1928 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1932 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps and GSO(2), Directorate of Signals, War Office.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.¹ He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1949.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1960.¹ He held the office of High Court Judge, Chancery Division between 1960 and 1970.¹ He held the office of Judge, Restrictive Practices Court between 1962 and 1970.¹ He held the office of member of the Law Reform Committee between 1963 and 1973.¹ He held the office of Treasurer of Lincoln’s Inn in 1969.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1970.¹ He held the office of President of the Senate, Four Inns of Court between 1970 and 1972.¹ He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal between 1970 and 1981.¹ He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)¹

     Arthur John Adams was born in November 1834 at Newton Blossomville, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He was the son of Samuel Michael Sorby Adams and Margaret Ann Hull.¹

     Gwendolen Jane Armstrong-Jones was born on 2 July 1905.² She was the daughter of Sir Robert Armstrong-Jones and Margaret Elizabeth Roberts.² She married Rt. Hon. Sir Denys Burton Buckley, son of Henry Burton Buckley, 1st Baron Wrenbury and Bertha Margaretta Jones, on 23 July 1932.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 23 July 1932, her married name became Buckley.

     Jane Gwenllian Armstrong Buckley was born on 22 May 1936.¹ She is the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Denys Burton Buckley and Gwendolen Jane Armstrong-Jones.² She married Sir Christopher John Slade, son of George Penkivil Slade and Mary Albinia Alice Carnegie, on 30 December 1958.¹
     From 30 December 1958, her married name became Slade. She lived in 2003 at 16 Elthiron Roa, London, England.¹
