     Major Robert Charles Petre was born on 15 February 1912.¹ He was the son of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Delphine Chichester, daughter of Major Claud Oswald Chichester and Alicia Chambers, on 20 September 1934.¹ He married, secondly, Sonia Redfern, daughter of Captain William A. K. Redfern, in October 1975.¹ He died on 3 August 1996 at age 84.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Scots Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Norway and Italy.¹ In 1946 he rode the winner of the Grand National.¹

     Mary Delphine Chichester was born on 19 September 1908.² She was the daughter of Major Claud Oswald Chichester and Alicia Chambers.^1,3 She married Major Robert Charles Petre, son of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson, on 20 September 1934.¹ She died on 20 September 1995 at age 87.²
     Her married name became Petre.

     Major Claud Oswald Chichester was born in 1875.² He is the son of Major Newton Charles Chichester and Jane Balfe.² He married Alicia Chambers in 1907.² He died in 1931.²
     He lived at Tunworth Down, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.¹

     Charles Henry Petre was born on 23 April 1936.² He was the son of Major Robert Charles Petre and Mary Delphine Chichester.² He married Melanie Beatrix Hoare, daughter of Henry Peregrine Rennie Hoare and Lady Beatrice Lilian Ethel Cadogan, on 10 January 1963.¹ He died on 6 October 2014 at age 78.³

     Claudia Mary Delphine Petre was born on 6 May 1943.¹ She was the daughter of Major Robert Charles Petre and Mary Delphine Chichester.¹ She married Ambrose Patrick Eustace Scott-Moncrieff, son of David William Hardy Scott-Moncrieff and Averil Marion Anne Sneyd, in 1971.¹ She died on 14 October 2019 at age 76.²
     From 1971, her married name became Scott-Moncrieff.¹ She lived in 2003 at Ragmore, Tunworth, hampshire, England.¹

     Kate Rosalind Florence Petre was born on 5 November 1903.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson.¹ She married Colonel John Wingfield Renny-Tailyour on 14 January 1925.¹ She died on 16 November 1956 at age 53.¹
     Her married name became Renny-Tailyour.

     Colonel John Wingfield Renny-Tailyour was born in 1881. He married Kate Rosalind Florence Petre, daughter of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson, on 14 January 1925.¹ He died on 9 December 1969.¹

     Elsie Glynn Petre was born circa 1906. She is the daughter of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson.¹ She married, firstly, Captain Alwyne Malcolm Fawcett, son of Lt.-Col. James Farish Malcolm Fawcett and Hon. Caroline Agar-Ellis, on 3 July 1926.¹ She married, secondly, Francis George Hurt, son of Lt.-Col. Francis Cecil Albert Hurt, on 29 November 1944.¹ She married, thirdly, Lt.-Col. Michael Wallington, son of John Arthur Beach Wallington and Constance Mary St. John-Mildmay, on 21 June 1955.¹ She and Lt.-Col. Michael Wallington were divorced in 1958.¹ She married, fourthly, Alec James Helms, son of Henry Walter Helms, on 16 March 1959.¹
     From 3 July 1926, her married name became Fawcett. From 29 November 1944, her married name became Hurt. From 21 June 1955, her married name became Wallington. From 16 March 1959, her married name became Nelms.

     Captain Alwyne Malcolm Fawcett was the son of Lt.-Col. James Farish Malcolm Fawcett and Hon. Caroline Agar-Ellis. He married Elsie Glynn Petre, daughter of Captain Charles Bernard Petre and Muriel Rosalind Anderson, on 3 July 1926.¹ He died on 22 August 1933.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.¹
