Hubert de Larcey Walters, on 6 April 1940.¹ She married, secondly, Brigadier Garth Raymond Godfrey Bird, son of Herbert William Bird, on 19 September 1942.¹ She died on 18 January 2018 at age 100 at Oaklands Court, Horam, Sussex, England.
     From 6 April 1940, her married name became Walters. From 19 September 1942, her married name became Bird. She lived in 2003 at The Oast House, Great Broadhurst Farm, Broad Oak, Sussex, England.¹

     Lieutenant Michael John Priaulx Walters was born in 1914 at Guildford, Surrey, England.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hubert de Larcey Walters.¹ He married Elizabeth Mary Vavasour, daughter of Captain Sir Leonard Pius Vavasour, 4th Bt. and Ellice Margaret Nelson, on 6 April 1940.¹ He died on 4 April 1941, killed in action.³
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.³

     Lt.-Col. Hubert de Larcey Walters lived at L’Eree, Guernsey, Channel Islands^G.¹

     Brigadier Garth Raymond Godfrey Bird was the son of Herbert William Bird.² He married Elizabeth Mary Vavasour, daughter of Captain Sir Leonard Pius Vavasour, 4th Bt. and Ellice Margaret Nelson, on 19 September 1942.² He died in 2002.³

     Josephine Mary Vavasour was born on 4 September 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Sir Leonard Pius Vavasour, 4th Bt. and Ellice Margaret Nelson.¹ She married Rear-Admiral Derick Henry Fellowes Hetherington, son of Commander Henry Reginald Hetherington and Hilda Fellowes, on 7 October 1942.¹ She died on 9 August 2017 at age 95 at Burcot, Oxfordshire, England.²
     She was 3rd Officer in the Women’s Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.¹ Her married name became Hetherington.

     Rear-Admiral Derick Henry Fellowes Hetherington was born in 1911 at Brentford, London, England.¹ He was the son of Commander Henry Reginald Hetherington and Hilda Fellowes.¹ He married Josephine Mary Vavasour, daughter of Captain Sir Leonard Pius Vavasour, 4th Bt. and Ellice Margaret Nelson, on 7 October 1942.² He died in 1992.²
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)² He was Domestic Bursar at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He lived at South Lodge, Rose Lane, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.²

     Commander Henry Reginald Hetherington was born in 1867 at Hartismere, Suffolk, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Hetherington and Ann Margaret Hoste.¹ He married Hilda Fellowes in 1903 at Poole, Dorset, England.¹
