     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet White, of Wallingwells, co. Nottingham [U.K., 1802] on 16 December 1945.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire in 1952.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Land Agent’s Society (F.L.A.S.)¹

     Colonel Francis Remi Imbert Athill was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Brinkburn High House, Longframlington, Northumberland, England.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹

     Daphne Margaret Athill was the daughter of Colonel Francis Remi Imbert Athill.² She married Sir Thomas Astley Woollaston White, 5th Bt., son of Lt.-Col. Sir Archibald Woollaston White, 4th Bt. and Gladys Becher Love Pitman, on 8 July 1935.¹ She died on 20 December 2012.³
     From 8 July 1935, her married name became White. She lived in 2003 at Ha Hill, Wigtown, Wigtownshire, Scotland.¹
