     Robert Gostlin White was born on 6 January 1763.¹ He was the son of Robert White and Sarah Nuthall.² He married, firstly, Mary Yarrington.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Meadows, daughter of Martin Meadows, on 6 March 1797.³ He died on 18 October 1828 at age 65.¹
     He was a practising solicitor.¹ He lived at Halesworth, Suffolk, England.¹
