     Janet Madelaine Cecilia Howard was born on 11 July 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Howard and Cecilia Riggs.¹ She died on 9 July 1960 at age 88, unmarried.¹

     Alice Lawrason Howard was born on 21 April 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Howard and Cecilia Riggs.¹ She died on 15 July 1942 at age 66, unmarried.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard was born on 26 March 1848.² He was the son of Sir Henry Francis Howard and Marie Ernestine von der Schulenburg.² He married Gertrude Jane Boyd, daughter of Hugh Conyngham Boyd, on 23 April 1895.² He died on 21 March 1930 at age 81.²
     He fought in the Jowaki Expedition in 1878.² He fought in the Lughman Expedition between 1878 and 1879.² He was awarded the Afghan War.² He fought in the Burma Expedition between 1888 and 1889.² He fought in the Crete Campaign in 1898.² He fought in the Sudan Expedition in 1898.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gloucestershire.² He gained the rank of Colonel between 1912 and 1913 in the Gloucestershire Regiment.² He was Colonel Commandant of the Rifle Brigade between 1913 and 1922.² He fought in the First World War.² He was Inspector-General of Infantry.²

     Gertrude Jane Boyd was the daughter of Hugh Conyngham Boyd.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard, son of Sir Henry Francis Howard and Marie Ernestine von der Schulenburg, on 23 April 1895.¹ She died on 6 October 1953.¹
     Her married name became Howard.

     Hugh Conyngham Boyd lived at Ballycastle, County Down, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Woodside, Torquay, Devon, England^G.¹

     Francis Howard was born on 2 February 1896.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard and Gertrude Jane Boyd.¹ He died on 16 June 1903 at age 7.¹

     Marjorie Howard was born on 9 August 1903.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard and Gertrude Jane Boyd.² She married George John Theodore Hyde Villiers, son of Colonel Hon. George Patrick Hyde Villiers and Louisa Maria Maquay, on 16 September 1931.¹ She died on 3 August 1982 at age 78.¹
     Her married name became Villiers.

     George John Theodore Hyde Villiers was born on 1 October 1891.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hon. George Patrick Hyde Villiers and Louisa Maria Maquay.² He married Marjorie Howard, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Francis Howard and Gertrude Jane Boyd, on 16 September 1931.¹ He died on 12 March 1942 at age 50.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards (Special Reserve.)¹

     Colonel Hon. George Patrick Hyde Villiers was born on 27 September 1847 at Viceregal Lodge, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2 He was the son of George William Villiers, 4th Earl of Clarendon and Lady Katherine Grimston.³ He married Louisa Maria Maquay, daughter of George Disney Maquay and Anna Maria Cooley, on 9 October 1884 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 He died on 10 January 1892 at age 44.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was Military Attaché to St. Petersburg, Berlin and Paris.¹ He was Military Secretary to the Governor-General of India.¹
