David Urquhart of Braelangwell was born on 1 July 1805 at Braelangwell, Cromarty, Argyllshire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of David Urquhart of Braelangwell and Margaret Hunter.3 He married Harriet Angelina Fortescue, daughter of Lt.-Col. Chichester Fortescue and Martha Angel Hobson, on 5 September 1854 at Ardee, County Louth, Ireland.1,4 He died on 16 May 1877 at age 71.1,4
He gained the rank of Naval Lieutenant.1 He fought in the Greek War of Independence in 1828.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stafford between 1847 and 1852.5,2 He lived at Braelangwell, Cromarty, Argyllshire, Scotland.1

Harriet Angelina Fortescue1,2 

Harriet Angelina Fortescue was born on 14 November 1824.2 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Chichester Fortescue and Martha Angel Hobson.4 She married David Urquhart of Braelangwell, son of David Urquhart of Braelangwell and Margaret Hunter, on 5 September 1854 at Ardee, County Louth, Ireland.1,2 She died in 1889.2
From 5 September 1854, her married name became Urquhart.1,2
