     Mary Katherine Bolton was the daughter of James Richard Bolton.3 She married Edward Hovell-Thurlow, 2nd Baron Thurlow of Thurlow, son of Rt. Rev. Thomas Thurlow and Anne Beere, on 13 November 1813.1 She died on 28 September 1830.1
     From 13 November 1813, her married name became Baroness Thurlow of Thurlow. From 13 November 1813, her married name became Hovell-Thurlow.

     Edward Thomas Hovell-Thurlow, 3rd Baron Thurlow of Thurlow was born on 12 November 1814.1 He was the son of Edward Hovell-Thurlow, 2nd Baron Thurlow of Thurlow and Mary Katherine Bolton.2 He married Sarah Hodgson, daughter of Peter Hodgson, on 8 November 1836.1 He died on 2 March 1857 at age 42.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Thurlow of Thurlow, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1792] on 4 June 1829.1

     After her marriage, Sarah Hodgson was styled as Baroness Thurlow of Thurlow on 8 November 1836. From 8 November 1836, her married name became Hovell-Thurlow.
