     William Grant Thorold was born in 1864 at County Limerick, Ireland.1,2 He was the son of Harry Octavius Thorold and Amelia Laura Barrington.3 He married Annie Elizabeth Holden, daughter of James Holden and Annie Elizabeth Thackwray, on 2 March 1898 at Wanstead, Essex, England.1,2 He died on 4 March 1952 at Bath, Somerset, England.2
     He was educated between 1882 and 1885 at Bristol Medical School, Bristol, England.2 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1885.2 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.) in 1885.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Medical Service.1

Frederick Temple Thorold1
