     Matthew Thompson was born on 12 February 1781.² He is the son of Reverend John Thompson and Mary Peile.² He married Elizabeth Sarah Atkinson, daughter of Reverend William Atkinson, on 30 April 1819.² He died on 23 September 1847 at age 66.²

     Benjamin Thompson was born on 4 February 1783.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Thompson and Mary Peile.² He married Elizabeth Whitaker, daughter of William Whitaker, on 4 May 1812.¹ He died on 16 February 1857 at age 74.¹

     Mary Ann Thompson was the daughter of Benjamin Thompson and Elizabeth Whitaker.² She married Sir Matthew William Thompson, 1st Bt., son of Matthew Thompson and Elizabeth Sarah Atkinson, on 10 May 1843.² She died on 5 November 1903.¹
