He was educated at Enfield School, London, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Style, of Wateringbury, Kent [E., 1627] on 12 February 1702/3.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, on 13 September 1704.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bramber from 27 January 1715 to 1 June 1715.2
