     He fought in the First World War, where he wounded five times.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Fusiliers.¹

     Edward S. Margerum lived at Merrylands, Western Australia, Australia.¹

     Violet May Margerum was the daughter of Edward S. Margerum.² She married Arthur William Strickland, son of Walter Richard Strickland and Julia Maud Jenkyns, on 16 December 1916.¹ She died on 1 January 1956.¹
     From 16 December 1916, her married name became Strickland.

     Stanley Arthur Strickland was born on 1 January 1920.¹ He was the son of Arthur William Strickland and Violet May Margerum.² He married Eileen Mary Keeley, daughter of Patrick Henry Keeley, on 19 July 1952.¹ He died on 3 October 2003 at age 83.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was officer.¹ He lived in 2003 at 28 Cavendish Road, New Malden, Surrey, England.¹
