     John Hamish Watson Stewart of Balgownie, younger was born on 12 December 1983.¹ He is the son of Sir John Simon Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 6th Bt. and Dr. Catherine Stewart Bond.²

     Anna Rebecca Watson Stewart was born on 1 May 1987.¹ She is the daughter of Sir John Simon Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 6th Bt. and Dr. Catherine Stewart Bond.²

     Alexander Stewart was born on 11 June 1822.¹ He married Marian Watson, daughter of James Watson, on 21 June 1847.¹ He died on 31 August 1906 at age 84.¹

     Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 1st Bt. was born on 12 February 1852.¹ He was the son of Alexander Stewart and Marian Watson.² He married Marion Symington Young, daughter of Reverend Alexander Young, on 6 September 1883.¹ He died on 3 November 1922 at age 70.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dunbartonshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Glasgow.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.¹ He held the office of Lord Provost of Glasgow University.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow between 1917 and 1920.¹ He was awarded the Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Stewart, of Balgownie, co. Dunbarton [U.K.] on 10 December 1920.¹

     Reverend Alexander Young lived at Darvel, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹

     Marion Symington Young was the daughter of Reverend Alexander Young.² She married Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 1st Bt., son of Alexander Stewart and Marian Watson, on 6 September 1883.¹ She died on 23 October 1943.¹
     From 6 September 1883, her married name became Stewart.

     Sir Alexander Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 November 1886.¹ He was the son of Sir James Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 1st Bt. and Marion Symington Young.² He died on 4 February 1934 at age 47, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stewart, of Balgownie, co. Dunbarton [U.K., 1920] on 3 November 1922.¹
