     Arthur Keane Tharp was born on 15 September 1848 at Chippenham, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Augustus James Tharp and Juliet Bond.¹ He married Madeleine Jane Jodrell, daughter of Reverend Henry Jodrell and Heloise Frances Harriet Napier, Countess of Cape St. Vincent, on 3 September 1879 at Holy Trinity Church, Gisleham, Suffolk, England.¹ He died on 17 November 1928 at age 80 at Midanbury, Bittern Park, Southampton, Hampshire, England.¹

     Althea (?) married Hon. Josiah Colin Stamp, son of Josiah Charles Stamp, 1st Baron Stamp and Olive Jessie Marsh, on 26 June 1940.¹ She and Hon. Josiah Colin Stamp were divorced in 1956.¹
