     Sir Drummond Cospatric Hamilton-Spencer-Smith, 5th Bt. was born on 4 November 1876.² He was the son of Reverend Spencer Compton Hamilton-Spencer-Smith and Mary Baillie-Hamilton.² He married, firstly, Roma Hope, daughter of Arthur Hope, on 6 December 1915.² He married, secondly, Mary Aurora Tudor, daughter of Reverend Henry Tudor, on 27 September 1923.² He died on 18 December 1955 at age 79.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He was Staff Officer and Military Secretary to the General Officer Commanding NZ Forces between 1910 and 1913.² He was Staff Officer, Royal Horse Artillery.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.² He was Commandant, Royal Artillery Officers Cadet School, Exeter between 1917 and 1918.² He was Commandant, 4th Army Artillery School between 1917 and 1918.² He was with the International Commission of Control, Berlin between 1920 and 1924.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1923.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1924 in the Royal Artillery.² He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Smith, of Tring Park, co. Hertford [U.K., 1804] on 8 May 1947.²

     Michael Seymour Spencer-Smith was born on 6 July 1881.¹ He was the son of Reverend Spencer Compton Hamilton-Spencer-Smith and Mary Baillie-Hamilton.² He married Evelyn Penelope Delmé Radcliffe, daughter of Reverend Arthur Henry Delmé Radcliffe and Beatrice Mary Frederica Ryder, on 25 July 1907.¹ He died on 20 January 1928 at age 46.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the General List.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.¹ He was Director of the Bank of England.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of the City of London in 1926.¹

     Evelyn Penelope Delmé Radcliffe was the daughter of Reverend Arthur Henry Delmé Radcliffe and Beatrice Mary Frederica Ryder. She married, firstly, Michael Seymour Spencer-Smith, son of Reverend Spencer Compton Hamilton-Spencer-Smith and Mary Baillie-Hamilton, on 25 July 1907.¹ She married, secondly, Elliot Francis Montagu Butler on 28 July 1934.¹ She died on 5 March 1974.¹
     From 25 July 1907, her married name became Spencer-Smith. From 28 July 1934, her married name became Butler.¹

     Peter Compton Spencer-Smith was born on 12 November 1912.¹ He was the son of Michael Seymour Spencer-Smith and Evelyn Penelope Delmé Radcliffe.² He married Philippa Mary Ford, daughter of Captain Richard Ford, on 27 June 1950.¹ He died in 1993.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 79th Hertfordshire Yeomanry (HAA Regiment), Royal Artillery (Territorial Army.)¹

     Captain Richard Ford gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹

     Philippa Mary Ford was the daughter of Captain Richard Ford.² She married Peter Compton Spencer-Smith, son of Michael Seymour Spencer-Smith and Evelyn Penelope Delmé Radcliffe, on 27 June 1950.¹ She died on 10 February 2010.³
     From 27 June 1950, her married name became Spencer-Smith. She lived in 2003 at Tingley House, Hexton Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England.¹
