     William Estouteville Skipwith was born on 16 June 1904.1 He was the son of Francis Skipwith and Marjory Rolt.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Joan Shattock, daughter of Ernest Mark Shattock, on 17 February 1934.1 He married, secondly, Joan Emma Teale, daughter of Joseph William Teale, on 11 December 1968.1 He died in 1976.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.1
