     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was U.K. Vice-Consul to San Remo.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1

     From 21 December 1877, her married name became Kay-Shuttleworth.
