Sir Richard Shuckburgh1

     Sir Richard Shuckburgh was the son of John Shuckburgh and Margaret Middlemore.2 He married, firstly, Mary Sneyde, daughter of Ralph Sneyde, in 1627.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Lee, daughter of Sir Robert Lee, in 1631.1 He married, thirdly, Grace Holte, daughter of Sir Thomas Holte, 1st Bt. and Anne Littleton, in 1634.1 He died on 13 June 1656.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwick in 1641.1 He fought in the Battle of Edge Hill on 22 October 1642.1 He was appointed Knight after the Battle of Edge Hill.1 He was captured by Parliamentary forces after defending his seat of Shuckburgh.1 He lived at Shuckburgh, Warwickshire, EnglandG.3
