     Reverend John Primatt Maud was born on 31 October 1823 at Somerset, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Primatt Maud and Matilda Elizabeth Hains.² He married Fanny Elizabeth Dorothy Croudace, daughter of William Croudace and Elizabeth Martindale, on 18 November 1856 at Vizagapatam, Madras, India.¹ He died on 18 April 1899 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.² He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² He gained the rank of officer in the 5th Madras Native Infantry. He gained the rank of Captain in the Honourable East India Company Service.² He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.² He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1860 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)² He was Vicar between 1862 and 1895 at Ancaster, Lincolnshire, England.²

     Fanny Elizabeth Dorothy Croudace was born in 1831.¹ She was the daughter of William Croudace and Elizabeth Martindale.¹ She married Reverend John Primatt Maud, son of Reverend John Primatt Maud and Matilda Elizabeth Hains, on 18 November 1856 at Vizagapatam, Madras, India.¹
     From 18 November 1856, her married name became Maud.¹

     William Croudace was born in 1785. He married Elizabeth Martindale.¹ He died in 1856.

     Elizabeth Martindale was born in 1793.¹ She married William Croudace.¹ She died in 1850.¹
     Her married name became Croudace.¹

     Beatrice Matilda Maud was born in 1863 at Lincolnshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend John Primatt Maud and Fanny Elizabeth Dorothy Croudace.¹

     Horace Grondace Maud was born in 1869 at Lincolnshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Primatt Maud and Fanny Elizabeth Dorothy Croudace.¹

     Emily Elizabeth Frances Maud was born in 1871 at Lincolnshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend John Primatt Maud and Fanny Elizabeth Dorothy Croudace.¹
